The student agrees to pay A-1 Driving Schools the total tuition at the current school rate.
An additional penalty fee of $50.00 will be charged to the student if he or she is absent from
a previously scheduled behind-the-wheel driving appointment. An additional penalty fee of $50.00
will be charged to the student if he or she is absent from a previously scheduled observation.
If the student misses two appointments his/her tuition will be forfeited and the student fails the class.
Cancellation may be done by contacting A-1’s main office 24 hours in advance and leaving a message.
(All tuition and fees are payable in US dolloars.)
The student may not commence instruction before reaching 15 years of age.
The student shall supply the school with a learner's permit before any drives or observations are scheduled.
It is your responsibility to check all ID requirements for the State of Utah before registering with A-1.

A-1 Driving Schools has no tolerance for student consumption of alcohol, drugs, or any chemical that may
interfere with their performance behind the wheel. Any use of such substances while participating in this
program will result in immediate dismissal with no refund.
Students may request a refund if they withdraw within two weeks of registration.
If you have a hold on your name with the State of Utah you have 2 weeks to ask for a refund.
A $50.00 service charge will be assessed in addition to any behind-the-wheel or observation
costs incurred before the withdrawal. A-1 charges $30.00 for any bounced checks.
A transfer from one A-1 course to another will require a $50 service fee.
A-1 Driving Schools will provide the student 30 hours of home study instruction,
six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, and six hours of observation of other student-drivers.
You must take a test on the workbook and pass by 80%. You must turn in all completed workbooks before completing the course.
There is no guarantee of the student passing the state driving and written tests or of completing the program in a
nine-day period.
Students must complete the course within (one)1 year to the date of registration. If the course is not
completed within one year, the student must repay the full registration fee and start the course over.
If you would like your materials mailed to you they will arrive within 7-10 business days by US Post.
You may also pick your materials up at any A-1 location during class time. Please bring your registration
confirmation with you.
