Offered in partnership with Weber State University (WSU).
- 9 independent study lessons (approximately 30 hours)
- 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training
- 6 hours observing the training of other student drivers
Students can work at their own pace and finish in as little as 30 hours. Driving and observation may be scheduled at any time; you do not need to finish the lessons before driving.

To complete the course, students must read and return the textbook, finish and return the workbook, and pass a final exam with a minimum of 80 percent.
Registration: Students may register for the Home Study Course online, or at one of A-1’s locations during scheduled class times.

Students will receive a textbook, workbook, and the Utah Driver Handbook at the time of registration.
Payment can be made with cash, check, money order, or credit card (Visa, Master Card, or Discover).
Minimum age to enroll in any driver education course is 15 years. Students have one year to complete the course.
A parent's signature is required at registration for students under 18 years of age.
